Stuart "Doc Win" Burnett, Jr., DVM of Atlanta West Veterinary Hospital in Villa Rica, GA established and maintained the American Veterinary Animal Welfare Foundation, a successful organization that has worked to rescue dogs from county animal control facilities for the past two years. In 2014, our organizational name changed to Atlanta West Vet Rescue. We now partner with the Veterinary Care Foundation and are more focused on assisting our clients and the surrounding local communities. Our mission is to provide financial support, medical care and rehabilitation for animals, their owners and homeless animals, who otherwise would not benefit from veterinary care.

The Veterinary Care Foundation is a 501(c)(3) charitable foundation that enables clients and the general public to make tax-deductible gifts through the Foundation which will support the practice's charitable endeavors. 100% of all funds donated to Atlanta West Veterinary Hospital's fund will go directly to that practice - all Foundation operating expenses are met by membership dues paid by veterinarians.

Atlanta West Vet Rescue accepts donations of goods to be sold in our Thrift Store! Call our office to donate items to the Thrift Store!
